  1.      PURPOSE OF USE

     

    The medical evacuation vehicle (ambulance) must enable the performance of the mission comprising medical assistance and evacuation of wounded persons of the medical platoon within the infantry battalion on MLI - 84M.

    The medical evacuation vehicle (ambulance) on the MLI-84 M chassis is a tracked vehicle is the result of the execution of an adequate superelevation to the armoured housing of the basic vehicle according to Fig. 1.

    The crew of the medical evacuation vehicle (ambulance) manufactured on the MLI-84 M chassis consisits of four members, including: mechanic-driver, corpsman and two stretcher bearers.

    Reinforcements are welded on the housing’s walls to enable equipment securing.

    The execution documentation covers all the interface data of the basic product with its main components.

    MEDEVAC MLI-84M is equipped with all equipment required to accomplish the combat missions.

    The main operational capabilities provided by MLI-84M MEDEVAC refer to:

    • Mobility, transition capacitance in the field similar to the basic armoured vehicle (MLI-84M);
    • Stable communications media - US and VHF radio station;
    • Ensuring the accomplishment of the medical assistance mission and of the mission to evacuate the wounded people from the battle field battalion-wise;
